💕 A Note from the Director

Hello Sunset Academy Families,

I am so happy to share that I am officially back today, May 1st, from my maternity leave! These past weeks have been incredibly special as we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Wrenley Jaymes, into our family. It has been such a meaningful time bonding with her and soaking in those precious newborn moments.

While my heart is full from this time at home, I have truly missed all of you—our wonderful children, families, and staff. I am both excited and a little anxious (in the best way!) to jump back into the rhythm of the center and reconnect with everyone. Sunset Academy holds such a special place in my heart, and I’m so grateful to return to a community that feels like family.

Thank you all for your support, love, and patience during my leave. I can’t wait to see all the smiling faces and hear about everything I’ve missed!

🎓 Pre-K Graduation

We are so excited to celebrate our amazing Pre-K students as they prepare for their next big step—Kindergarten!

• Date: May 22, 2026
• Time: 4:00 PM
• Location: Sunset Academy Field

We will be holding a special graduation ceremony on our field, where we will honor and send off our Pre-K students. This is always such a heartfelt and memorable event!

Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate this important milestone with us. We can’t wait to cheer on our graduates together! 🎉

Note* We kindly ask out families to bring their own lawn chair as we have limited available chairs in the center and our chairs are quite small. 

🍎 Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8)

Next week, we celebrate the incredible teachers who pour so much love, care, and dedication into our classrooms every single day.

To help show your appreciation, teacher questionnaires listing their favorite things and interests are posted outside each classroom door. Feel free to use these for ideas if you’d like to do something special!

Let’s come together to make our teachers feel extra loved and valued—they truly deserve it! 💛

🌷 Mother’s Day Celebration

We want to take a moment to wish all of our amazing moms a very Happy Mother’s Day! Your love, strength, and dedication do not go unnoticed.

To celebrate you, please join us for a special treat on Friday morning, May 8th:

• Treats will be available at the front desk

We hope you can stop by and enjoy a little something just for you on your way out the door—you deserve it! 💕

You can sign up for any of these classes using the QR codes on the flyers in the front lobby. These programs are a wonderful way for your child to explore new skills, build confidence, and have tons of fun!

Don’t forget — we are still collecting Longmont Dairy Milk Caps! Every cap counts toward earning funds for our school. Thank you for bringing them in and supporting our center in this fun and easy way! We need 2,000 caps for each pick-up.
