Welcome to Summer time!
Here we are beginning the first month of summer!
Summer is such a busy and fun time.
Our theme this month will be Nature and Camping, we have lots of fun activities planned for this month.
Bug Exploration, Camping Pretend Play, Flashlight Reading, Outdoor Scavenger Hunt and more.
As always if you have any books or pictures, we would love for your children to be able to share them with their classmates during Circle time. Sharing photos of their weekend adventures makes children feel seen and valued, enhancing their sense of belonging as we celebrate each other’s achievements.
Our letter of the month is L. We will focus on writing, letter sound, and recognition.
We will be practicing our counting as we sing Ants Go Marching.
As we enter the hotter months, please remember to dress your child in light, breathable clothing, we recommend having a sunhat to keep at school as well.
No open-toe shoes (no flip-flops) for playground safety. We do a lot of running and climbing and your child’s feet need support. Thanks for your help!
Hydration is key, so ensure your child brings a water bottle daily.
Preparation for Splash Day for the month of July
Have students practice changing in/out of clothes and swimsuits prior to this. We have a very large class size. It would be incredibly helpful for students to be as independent as possible so we can keep all students safe and have this go smoothly.
ITEMS NEEDED
*** Water resistant bag (no plastic grocery bags)
*** Towel
*** Closed toe water shoes
*** Swim suit (should be on before drop off)
*** Students will have to arrive before 9AM to have enough time to eat breakfast during splash days
