June 2026- Brown Bears

Brown Bear June Newsletter
Welcome to June Brown Bears!

With it being June we will begin our more relaxed portion of the year. We’ll shift from an academic focus to a focus on experimentation and play. I want my Brow Bears to enjoy their summer and have it be full of fun and relaxed activities that will inspire curiosity. We’ll be diving into the Ocean for this month’s theme.

Theme: Ocean

Social Emotional: Peer Problem Solving and Celebrating our differences

Focus: STEM & Art

Reading Volunteers

I would love for you guys to join us for circle time and read aloud to the class. I do ask that the book you volunteer to read be associated to the theme focuses of the month. You are more than welcome to come read more than once.

A sign up sheet will be available for those who would like to participate. Please write your name next to the time you would like to come in. Thank you!

 Reminders & Important Dates

– All students must have sunscreen applied before they get dropped off in the morning. I will reapply in the afternoon before going outside.

– If your Brown Bear is being dropped off after 8:30 AM please take them to the restroom before dropping them off in the classroom.

– Hydration is SO important especially in the summer because we have a lot of outdoor time. That being said please make sure your Brown Bear is bringing a water bottle to school everyday.

– Blankets should be taken home every Friday to wash then brought back on Monday.

– In preparation for Splash Days next month please have your Brown Bear practice changing in and out of their clothes/swimwear. I have a full class of students and do not have the time to sit down and help each child change. It would be very helpful for students to be as independent as possible so I can keep all the students safe and have everything go smoothly and quickly.

June 21st – Father’s Day (Happy Father’s Day to all you amazing dad’s

June 26th – Ponyo (G 1hr 43min)
