Dear Sunset Academy Families,

Summer is officially here, and we are excited to kick off a season filled with sunshine, outdoor adventures, water play, and lots of fun! The children have already been enjoying the warmer weather, and we look forward to making wonderful memories together throughout the summer months.

☀️ Summer Camp is Underway!

• Our Summer Camp program has officially begun! Campers will enjoy field trips twice each week along with exciting activities, games, crafts, and special events here at the center.
• Splash Days will take place on Fridays, and we’ll occasionally enjoy fun Movie Days to help beat the summer heat.

🌳 Growing Our Outdoor Spaces

• We recently planted five new trees in our field! We can’t wait to watch them grow over the years and provide shade, beauty, and opportunities for nature exploration.
• We have also added additional umbrellas throughout our playground areas and are currently working on adding more shade coverings over our preschool playground to help keep children comfortable during outdoor play.

🌤️ Warm Weather Reminders

• We continue to take children outside both in the morning and afternoon whenever weather permits.
• Please remember to apply sunscreen before arriving and ensure your child has sunscreen available at the center. Teachers will notify families when supplies are running low.
• We encourage children to bring a sun hat for outdoor play. For safety reasons, please avoid hats with long drawstrings, as they can present a choking hazard.
• Lightweight, comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended for active summer fun.

📅 Important Dates & Reminders

• Friday June 12: Sunset Academy will close early at 4:00 PM for our monthly staff meeting.
• Friday, July 3: Sunset Academy will be closed in observance of Independence Day.
