Brown Bear Newsletter: January 2023

Happy New Year! May your hearts stay full from the lasting memories of this past magical holiday season. We sure enjoyed the excitement with your children!

We are sad to say goodbye to Natasha and wish her only the best in Michigan, we will all miss you so much. Welcome into the Brown Bear Family to Amzi and Peyton from the Polar classroom. We are looking forward to learning and growing with you both.

The first week of January we’ll explore snow and ice, learning how and why they are formed. Looks like Mother Nature will help in this department for first hand knowledge.

The second week we’ll learn about animals in winter. Who is dormant or hibernating or active?

Martin Luther King Day, January 16, gives us the opportunity to re-enforce unity and equality during the 3rd week.

Chinese New Year is celebrated on January 22. It is The Year of the Rabbit. This week we’ll be learning about this holiday and culture.

The 5th week leads into February. We will study how shadows are made and have some fun learning about Groundhog Day, February 2nd.

The letters for this month are L,M,N,P,Q

Thank you for all you do! Don’t hesitate with any questions or concerns.

Hug em, love em, laugh lots, and READ, READ, READ! They grow fast!
