Welcome to May Brown Bears families

We have officially made it to the end of the school year! We’ve learnt so much this year and I’m so proud of all my Brown Bears and how far they’ve come. During this month I will wrap up my more academically rigorous agenda as we explore the world of insects and take a look at our environment from a new perspective.

Theme: Insects

Math: Review 0-50, Shape Review

Social Emotional: All life is important and makes a difference; peer problem solving review

 

Graduation Ceremony

The pre kindergarten graduation will be held on May 22nd on the school field at 4PM! Please feel welcome to invite all your friends and family. I look forward to seeing you there. Congratulations to you and your graduating Brown Bear!

Words couldn’t even begin to express how proud I feel of the kiddos, not just my graduating ones but of ALL of my lovely students they’ve all come so far and have learnt so much this school year! (:

Show & Tell May 28th – 29th

Students will bring an item to share and discuss with the class. The item should be something they found in nature. Some examples include a rock, leaf, pressed flowers, picture of an insect, etc.

During the presentation the student will answer the following questions: what item did you bring? Where did you find it? Why did you you want to share it with us?

May 25th – Memorial Day (school closed)

Reminders

– Students need sunscreen applied before drop-off and I will reapply as needed. Also make sure you are dressing your child appropriately according to the weather.

– Please have students bring a hat for UV protection (refer to summer checklist for the full list of what your student needs for the summer)

– Closed toed shoes must be worn (prevents slipping)

–  Have students practice changing in and out of their clothes in preparation for splash days this summer!

 Friendly reminder to please make sure you are signing your child in and out of Procare each day. This is a vital part of our daily safety procedures and attendance records. If you are ever having trouble with the app please let either me or admin know and we will help you! Thank you!
