February 2026- Koala Bears

Happy February, Koala Families! 💕🐨

Love is in the air! This month will be filled with sweet Valentine’s fun, hands-on art projects, and exciting activities for our little learners. We’ll be exploring shapes and colors through creative play while also talking about friendship, kindness, and how to be gentle and caring with our friends.

To top it all off, we’ll celebrate with a Valentine’s Day party in our classroom on Friday, February 13, full of smiles, creativity, and fun! During the party, we’ll also be exchanging Valentine cards. Participation is optional, but if you’d like your child to join in, please be sure to bring Valentines for all the children in the classroom.

We will also be posting a sign-up sheet for party goodies for those who would like to participate. Please remember that we are a nut-free center, and all goodies must be egg-free and dairy-free due to allergies.

Let’s Keep Germs Away!

As temperatures stay low, we anticipate that more friends may begin feeling under the weather. To help keep our school community healthy, we kindly ask that you keep your child at home if they are showing any signs of illness or are not acting like their usual selves.

Symptoms to watch for include:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Runny nose

  • Sore throat

  • Diarrhea

  • Vomiting

If your child tests positive for any illness, such as influenza, RSV, or others, please notify us as soon as possible. This helps us monitor illness trends and make any necessary adjustments to help protect everyone.

We understand that keeping your child home can be challenging at times, but it is important for the health and well-being of all children and staff. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our classroom healthy this season! 😷💙

PLEASE CHECK CUBBIES

We kindly ask that you take a moment to check your child’s cubby and take home any toys, artwork, or extra items.

To help keep cubbies organized and clutter-free, please ensure they contain only the following items:

  • 1 blanket

  • 1 stuffed animal

  • Extra socks, shirts, and bottoms

  • Winter attire (hats, gloves, jacket, etc.)

Please make sure all belongings are clearly labeled with your child’s FIRST and LAST NAME.

Additionally, we ask that you take your child’s blanket home every Friday and return it clean (or bring a new one) every Monday.

Classroom Whiteboard Reminders

We would like to kindly remind all families to please check your child’s classroom whiteboard regularly. These boards are used to share important reminders about items your child may need, such as diapers, wipes, sunscreen, and other classroom essentials.

We will continue providing verbal reminders and updates through ProCare as well—the whiteboards are simply an additional form of communication.

Whiteboard Locations:

  • K2 Classroom: Immediately to the right as you walk into the classroom

  • K1 Classroom: Above the sensory bins, near the emergency exit
