Director’s Newsletter: May 2023

Dear Parents & Guardians,   We hope this newsletter finds you well and that your family is enjoying the warmer weather that has finally arrived! We are excited to share some updates on what’s been happening in our school as we head into May.
Currriculum Updates:   Our students have been busy learning and exploring new concepts. In May, we will continue to focus on developing important social and emotional skills, such as empathy, self-regulation, and teamwork. We will also be exploring the world of insects, learning about their habitats, diets, and life cycles. Our art activities will revolve around creating butterfly and caterpillar crafts, and our science experiments will include observations of caterpillars changing into butterflies.
Please remember to pack sunscreen and hats for your child, as we will be spending more time outdoors.   May 10th is Mother’s Day, and we will be making special gifts for all of the moms in our program.   Our program will be closed on Monday, May 29th, in observance of Memorial Day. Finally, we would like to remind all parents to keep their child’s immunization record up-to-date. It is important that we maintain a healthy and safe environment for all the children in our care.
It brings us great joy to announce that our graduation for our Pre-K program for the year 2023 is just around the corner. This special event will mark a significant milestone in the lives of our little ones as they move forward towards their next phase of learning. The graduation ceremony will take place on the 26th of May 2023, starting at 4:30pm in the evening. The event will be held at the school premises on the large field, and we invite all parents and guardians to join us in celebrating this special occasion. Our graduating class has put in a lot of hard work and dedication, and we are proud of their achievements. They have learned valuable skills and knowledge that will be instrumental in their future education and personal growth. We believe that they are ready to take on new challenges, and we look forward to seeing them succeed in their future endeavors. The graduation program will feature various activities, including performances by our little ones, speeches, and award presentations. We encourage you to arrive early to secure a good spot and cheer on your child as they take center stage. We would like to remind all parents and guardians to dress their children appropriately for the event. Please ensure that they wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather and the occasion. We look forward to seeing you all at our graduation Pre-K program in May 2023. Let us come together to celebrate the achievements of our little ones and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.
We wanted to remind you that next week, May 8th through May 12th, is Teacher Appreciation Week! This is a special time to celebrate and recognize the hard work and dedication of our teachers who go above and beyond to provide the best education and care for our students. We encourage you to take a moment during this week to express your gratitude to your child’s teacher(s). You can do this by writing a note, sending an email, or simply saying thank you in person. Your words of appreciation will mean so much to our teachers, and they will feel valued and supported. Each teacher has filled out a questionaiire listing some of thier favorite things- these lists have been posted outside each classroom door! If you are interested in going a step further, you could consider organizing a class gift for your child’s teacher(s). This could be anything from a small token of appreciation to a group gift from all the parents in the class. Your child’s teacher(s) will undoubtedly be touched by the thoughtfulness and generosity. We are so fortunate to have such dedicated and caring teachers in our program, and we are grateful for all that they do. Thank you for taking the time to recognize and appreciate our teachers during this special week.
