Teddies Newsletter: October 2021

Hello Teddies Families!

I hope everyone had a wonderful September, and I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather these last couple of weeks. This month we celebrated birthdays for Luke, Arlo and Aidan, Happy Birthday! This month we also welcomed a new friend to our class, welcome to Teddies, Tucker! We are so excited to have you.

With so many of our friends turning 1 over the last couple months, we have had a lot of friends working on transitioning to one nap a day as well as making the move to whole milk. Let me know if you have any questions or interest regarding your child making these transitions.

And please remember that if you are switching to a different type of milk, whether it be breast milk, formula or cow’s milk, it is very important to let us know. We need to know what is in your child’s bottles for health and safety regulations and to ensure that they are properly labeled. Thank you so much for your help on this!

With the weather getting cooler, please be sure to bring weather appropriate clothes and make sure the extra clothes in your child’s cubby are weather appropriate as well. We will still take walks and go outside as often as we can.

With Halloween coming I wanted to touch on what the holiday will look like for our classroom. We do not do much in terms of a party in our class, but you are welcome to bring in a costume if you would like and we may do a little “parade” around the hallway. Keep in mind that they may get dirty and accidents happen, so if you do not want to risk it that is absolutely okay too. If you have any questions on this please let me know.

Our curriculum theme for this month will be “At the Zoo”

Sign language we will work on this month is “All Done” and “Eat”

Yoga we will work on this month is “Cobra Pose”

Reminders for the month

-We will close EARLY (at 4:00) on Friday, October 8th for staff training.
