Polars Newsletter: October 2021

Happy October Polar Families,

It’s crazy how the month of September flew by. I love how much these Polar bears are learning through play, art, and during circle time. It was a fun month getting to learn about where we live, community helpers, fall, and all about apples. This upcoming month we will be saying “see you later” to our friend, RJ, and welcoming our new friend, Hazel. RJ we will miss you so much but wish you the best with what’s to come on your new journey.

This month we will also be focusing on new themes each week:

Week of 10/4-10/8: Five senses

Week of 10/11-10/15: Dental health/hand washing

Week of 10/18-10/22: Fire safety

Week of 10/25-10/29: Spiders/bats

We will also be focusing on learning more sign language words and the letters Ii and Ss. We are currently working on counting from 1-10 and writing numbers 1-5. We are also working on recognizing shapes around the classroom, where students pick a shape and go find something in the classroom that looks or has that shape on it. They love doing this! And we can’t forget our names, we are always practicing writing and recognizing the letters of our names.
