Polars Newsletter: November 2020

POLAR BEARS

Greetings Polar Bear Families,

The children had a ball exploring balls! They learned that balls come in many different shapes and sizes. They learned that some balls are heavy and some are light. They learned that children are not the only ones who use balls in their everyday lives. This week they end their study by exploring what balls are made of and on Friday, we will celebrate what we have learned and investigated by featuring foods shaped like balls, such as oranges. Also, on Friday is our Halloween Party. If you would like to bring something there is a sign up sheet at the pick up & drop off station. There are 12 children in the class. Next week we will begin our study about trees. Why trees? You ask. Trees fascinate and spark children’s curiosity and wonder. Do you remember those childhood memories that involved trees? I used to climb them and lie down under them. Also, please remember to dress your child according to the weather and supply him or her with hats, water resistant gloves or mittens, snow pants and boots and a coat as we go out in all kinds of weather. Thanks for all you do Polar Bears Families!

There is a new email for you to use. It is: polarbears@sunsetacademy.com

November 26th – Thanksgiving – Sunset will be closed.
