Teddies Newsletter: October 2020

Dear Teddy Parents,

Happy Fall! We are going to continue to go outside as much as our beautiful fall weather allows, both on stroller walks and on our infant playground. Please make sure your child has a light jacket, socks, and/or shoes. The shoes can be hard soled or soft soled, and if you prefer them to be kept in your child’s cubby so that they don’t have to be remembered daily, that is fine!

This month’s theme is one of my favorites: At the Zoo! We will be learning about North American, South American, African, and Australian animals through songs, books, and art. I will continue to send the week’s lesson plans via email so you can see what activities your child is doing. A lot of the activities can be repeated at home as well, which is a really fun experience for your child. If you would like more information about a specific activity in the lesson plans, feel free to message me through Teaching Strategies Gold, text me during school hours, or call the school’s landline.

Important Dates:

October 14th: This is conference day! We will be able to get together to talk about how amazing your child is doing, either in person or over the phone. A sign up sheet for times will be in the front lobby closer to the date.

October 23rd: Luca’s First Birthday! Happy Birthday, Luca!

October 25th: Ms. Katie’s Not-First Birthday.

October 30th: Dress up day for Halloween. You may bring your child in a costume or bring a costume for your child to be dressed in later. Note that if you’re planning on taking your child somewhere in their costume for Halloween, it might not be a good idea to have them wear it at school all day.

Have a wonderful and safe October!
