Brown Bears Newsletter: October 2023

“Autumn is a time for change, apple pickin’, pumpkin patch, choose your favorite from the batch!”
October is here! The days are finally starting to cool down and with that, we’ll see so many bright colors. For this month, we’ll be starting our new unit Autumn & Harvest. We’ll be discussing the season of Autumn and what changes occur during this time. Of course, we’ll also discuss harvest (which will help us transition to next month’s theme). We have many fun-colorful art activities planned out that will incorporate the environment and be hands-on.
We will be continuing with our curriculum and moving on to:Letters  C & D   —- Numbers 0-5
Side note: Throughout the day, we use different instances to discuss various social emotional skills like labeling emotions, recognizing facial expressions, setting boundaries, problem solving with peers, and communication in general. We want to make sure you’re aware that this is a constant topic and something we’ll continue to discuss and work on throughout the year. *** Flu Season Is Here! ***
