Director’s Newsletter: March 2023

We hope everyone had a wonderful February! The children had so much fun learning about Groundhog Day, Dental Health, President’s Day and Valentine’s Day. We look forward to a very fun and exciting March and Spring!
We hope those that will be off for Spring Break enjoy their time away and we look forward to seeing you again at the end of March! Much of the following is a repeat from previous months, but please continue to:
Dress your children accordingly as the cold temperatures are still upon us. Please still provide jackets and winter boots, mittens and toque, as it is still cold outside. To ensure safety, please have your child wear sneakers everyday, no open shoes, flip flops, or crocs as they are not safe for the playground.
We are also encouraging children to eat healthy snacks in the morning and have a good start to the morning with a healthy breakfast. Please try to avoid giving chocolate, treats or sugary snacks to your child before school. If you are finding there isn’t enough time to have breakfast at home, you are more than welcome to bring breakfast to school in the mornings.

If anyone would like to donate wipes and/or tissues, we have been going through so many boxes.
We appreciate it!Please remember to return water bottles/sippy cups and nap time items every Monday. For the safety of the children please DO NOT send in GLASS containers as they break.
We please ask that all children LEAVE ELECTRONICS, TOYS AND JEWELRY HOME as we encourage sharing of the schools toys. This will ensure their safety and we do not want the children to be upset if an item may get lost or broken. If you are interested in Summer Camp and your child is 5 years of age and up, please see Administration at the front desk for the sign-up form. Please let us know as soon as possible as we will be accepting students from outside the school as well.
During the summer months, we offer a full-time summer day camp. Daily excursions featuring swimming, skating, bowling, roller skating, museums, nature hikes and more. We take weekly trips to places such as the Denver Zoo, National Parks Museum of Nature & Science and much, much more. Our adult/child ratio is a low 1 to 10. All vans are air-conditioned and equipped with seat belts providing comfortable transportation to and from all events. A mobile phone is provided for each van to provide communication when the need arises. Our counselors are trained in first aid and CPR. We conduct background checks on all counselors. Our on-site classrooms are available for rainy day activities.
