Black Bears Newsletter: October 2022

Hello Family and Friends!

I’d like to start this month off by saying Welcome to our new friends and family as we add more friends to our Black Bear family! This month we will be focusing on our social and emotional skills and communicating our feelings and emotions by using our words while expanding our vocabulary. We will also be focusing on numbers 11-20 and some letters that still need some practice! Such as, K, M, W, V, Q and I. We have been doing excellent in following directions and association with similarities and differences. We will also be learning some beginner sight words next week through visualization and integration into our lovely artwork, so please be aware your child will be expressing themselves through their art as well as working on sensory.

With this month including one of my personal favorite holidays, the kids are excited to hear that Halloween is coming up! If your child must wear a costume on Halloween, I do ask that there be no face paint, masks, or anything that is not considered a PG rating. We will be doing a Trunk-or-Treat as well! If you are wishing to participate with your child, please keep in mind that we are a Nut-Free facility as we have some allergens. Any further questions in regards to this event, please feel free to stop by the Front Office for more information!

As the colder months approach, it is essential that we equip our children with weather appropriate clothing such as a sweater and pants as we’ve been getting cold during nap time! Please feel free to include a hat and gloves for chilly mornings when we go outside.

I am so excited to see where this year takes us! Thank you for all that you do and for giving me the opportunity to teach your child as I look forward to watching them blossom into the stars they are!
