December is upon us and what a year it has been. We appreciate all of your patience through this very trying year.
COVID-19 Updates
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to those parents who contributed to the school during our recent closure. We cannot express how grateful we are for your support.
You have all probably seen the recent news, showing the ever-increasing rates of COViD both here in Colorado, across the country and world, and most excitingly, the availability of vaccines. Please be safe and take precautions to protect yourselves and those around you. We don’t want be infected while waiting for the vaccine.
“Teachers of The Year”
Each year in the past, we celebrate one outstanding teacher by giving him/her the “Teacher of The Year” award. This year because of the overwhelming number of teachers who performed brilliantly, we have decided to expand the number of awards. Please join us to congratulate Ms. Katie, Ms. Guoli and Ms. Katie for wining the “Teacher of The Year” awards. See details here.
Holiday Planning
Due to COViD, we regret to inform you, we will not be having a Winter Program this year.
Please keep an eye out for an attendance survey regarding the last two weeks of the year. This information is helpful to the school for planning and scheduling.
Sunset Academy will be closing early at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 24th and will be closed on Friday, December 25th for the Christmas Holiday.
Sunset Academy will also close early at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31st, and will be closed Friday, January 1st for the New Years Holiday.
A Season to Give
We will be placing a donation box at the front of the school for nonperishable foods, canned foods, toiletries donations. We will take these donations to the Our Center that provides services to the homeless and those in need in our community.
In case of emergency, we have a system that allows us to send you group messages. Please update your carrier information via our Parent Portal https://myprocare.com. If you are new to the portal, please type in your email address to activate your account.
