Teddies Newsletter: December 2020

Dear Teddy Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was a little different this year, only celebrating with immediate family, but I am hopeful that next year we will be able to celebrate together.

This month’s theme is Winter Holidays. The first two weeks we will focus on a general winter activities theme. The three weeks after that will focus on Hanukkah traditions, Christmas traditions, and Kwanzaa traditions. We will be singing lots of songs and finger-plays about winter, making a melted snowman in art, and preparing a special gift for our families.

As the weather gets colder, we will be going outside less and less, but I still recommend your child either come to school with a winter coat, or that they keep one in their cubby for days that it is warm enough and dry enough to play on the playground or go for stroller walks and wagon rides.

Dates to Remember:

12/24: We will close at 2:00 p.m. in observance of Christmas Eve

12/25: We will be closed in observance of Christmas Day

12/31: We will close at 2:00 p.m. in observance of New Year’s Eve

1/1/2021: We will be closed in observance of New Year’s Day

Everyone stay safe, stay warm, and have a great holiday.

Best,

Ms. Katie
