Grizzly Newsletter: January 2024



Dear Grizzly Bears parents,

Happy New Year 2024!!
 We hope you had a wonderful holiday season with your families and lots of joyful memories!!

Our first semester of the school year is over! During the semester, your student did a fantastic job, socially and academically. Here we would like to review what your student has learned in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

In language Arts:
The kids learned 35 Level-A sight words; uppercase and lowercase letters’ names, sounds, and handwriting; consonants and vowels in the alphabet; concept of print of literary texts; spaces in print; concept of rhyme and rhyming words. In the Spring semester, the kids will read the Dr. Seuss Beginner Books starting from January.
In mathematics: The kids learned numbers 1-20; classifying, counting data, and making bar graphs; addition and subtraction within 10; doubles to 10; making 10s; counting numbers to 100 by 1s and 10s; and Place Value. During the Spring semester, we will have three more topics to study. They are patterns, shapes, and measuring.

In science:The kids studied Physical Science: Force, Balance & Motion and most of Life Science: Animals and Trees. There is one more topic, Earth Science to study this semester.
In social studies:The kids studied Good Citizens and Life Long Ago and Today. There are three more topics to study in the Spring semester. They are Our Country, Our World, and All About Work.

Declan’s Birthday. Happy Birthday to You Declan! – Friday 01/12, Monthly Staff Meeting. The school will be closed at 4pm.s

– Robotics: Alarm-bot and Mole-bot

Social Studies:
– Our Country
