Brown Bears Newsletter: April 2023

April showers bring May flowers design

 Happy April to all!

Welcome to Joaquin and William from Polar classroom, bringing us to 16 Brown Bears. Once again another welcome to Ms Mikayla too.

Our first week of April we’ll be learning about egg hatchers. We’ll try to fit in as many as possible, while also creating some fun Easter projects. Extra bonus excitement is an Easter egg hunt!

The second week we’ll learn about weather and how it is formed. The children will be able to recognize some basic cloud formations. What is the difference between why it rains, snows, or hails, and how is condensation formed.

Earth Day is April 22, giving us the opportunity to celebrate our Earth. The children will learn all the ways even a preschooler can help to save it. Weather permitting we will go out to do a clean up around our school grounds. I will have the children wear latex gloves during our clean up.

We’ll finish up the month expanding from our planet Earth to Outer Space. Your child will be able name the planets by the end of the week I hope they sing the planet song at home. Children learn so much through song.

Watch the weather you may want to start applying sunscreen before school we will reapply before our afternoon outside time. Reminder to bring in your child’s sunscreen if their name is still on classroom white board.

Check your child’s cubby for a complete extra set of clothes, please.

Thank you for all you do and continue to do, we are blessed with such wonderful families! Please don’t ever hesitate with any questions or concerns.

Remember to READ, READ, READ it’s the most important way to help your child be successful!

Stay well,

Diane and Mikayla
