Brown Bears December 2017 Newsletter

Happy Holidays to all! We hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving family time. The Brown Bear Teachers appreciate every one of you and your wonderful children.

December will be extra busy and fun-filled.

Saturday, December 9 at 5:00 Longmont will host its Parade of Lights at Roosevelt Park. Contact Nina if you and your family would be interested in representing Sunset Academy as we walk the parade route. There is limited seating in the van. It is always such a joyous, festive, and magical evening; we hope to see you there.

Monday, December 11, Diane will be available for conferences from 8-4. You may choose face to face or a phone conference. A sign-up sheet is posted inside the classroom.

Wednesday, December 20, we hope you can join us at our center as your children perform a few Holiday songs. Time to be announced. We are asking the parents to provide a store bought a snack to share. After the performance you can enjoy making a holiday craft, snacking, chatting with each other, and enjoying some quality Brown Bear Family time.

The class will continue working hard on beginning letter sounds, recognition, and formation. There will be more practice on writing their first name and properly holding writing utensils. Cutting with scissors is improving, as is understanding to follow steps in instructions. Their comprehension during circle time is quite exciting.

Guiding independence throughout the day is becoming less and less. The children have grown so much already. Zipping zippers, folding blankets, and being responsible for ourselves throughout the day is making us proud. They are all so capable and amazing.

We appreciate all you do for us. Never hesitate with questions or concerns. Our email is sunsetacademybrownbears@gmail.com

Enjoy the magic of the season Happy Holidays!
