August 2025- Grizzly Bears

Dear parents,

We are excited to welcome Lilith, Karlie, Julian, Mia, Arlo, Theodore, Luke, Quentin, Paolo, Henry, Alessandro, and Scarlet to the Grizzly Bears class of 2026!!

Important events in August:

– Friday 08/15, Back to School Night, 4:00pm – 5:00pm, Grizzly Bears Classroom. It is not an official back to school night. But you can come to the Grizzly classroom with your child to talk with the new teacher and take a folder home.

– Monday 08/18, First Day of Pre-Kindergarten. We encourage you to bring in your child before 8:30am. Our Circle Time begins at 8:30am.

– Birthdays:

Sunday 08/17, Scarlet’s birthday. Happy Birthday to You, Scarlet!

August Focus:

We are going to spend 2 – 3 weeks getting the kids ready for Pre-Kindergarten. The key topics are:

1. Review what we learned in preschool last school year;

2. Assessments of Letters, numbers, and colors;

3. Learn about the rules/manners, the daily routines, and the learning centers;

4. Get to know each other;

5. How is Pre-Kindergarten like preschool, how is it different?

6. How do we feel about going to Pre-Kindergarten?

7. How do we make and keep friends in the class?

8. What names do we need to know at school?
