Changing environments can be a hard transition. Please keep in mind that behavioral changes are completely normal and expected. There will be new faces, new routines, and new expectations. We ask that you please be patient while everyone adjusts and relationships are built. 

During the month of August, we use the first half of the month to prepare students for the changes to come. We do our best to empower and encourage those that are leaving before they move up…and to prepare those who stay for the transitions of students. 

In the second half, we use this time to get to know the classroom, rules, routine, and each other. As such, we do not dive into academics until September. We find that it is useful for the students to get comfortable with us and their new environment first.

*** Please read through the welcome packet and return the questionnaire by the 29th 

*** Clean (labeled) water bottle needed every day

*** Blankets go home to be washed on Friday and are returned on Monday

*** No food in cubbies. Food from home must be labeled with the student’s name and placed on the counter. 

*** All clothes in cubbies must be labeled
