Autumn will be bursting in the Panda 2 classroom through the month of October! We will discover the colors of autumn through the exploration and observations of leaves and pumpkins. Please see calendar below for list of dates to wear a specific autumn color to school! October is also Fire Safety month! Along with learning about firefighters and fire safety, we will are eagerly anticipating a visit from the local fire station.
Spiders and bats will be a focus as we approach Halloween. Be sure to mark your calendars for our school-wide Fall Festival, which is held on October 27 at 6:15 p.m. Celebrate this day by coming to school in your favorite costume. Enjoy food, games, prizes and fun!
DID YOU KNOW: October is National Pizza Month! We will celebrate by integrating this theme into the week of “Five Senses”, by making our own English muffin pizzas, and adding a variety of kid friendly toppings! There will be a donation list posted on the parent board for our pizza party.
As we approach colder weather, we are becoming even more conscious of healthy habits. Consciously modeling behaviors such as hand washing and sneezing/coughing into your elbow will encourage your child to imitate these actions, promoting healthy habits.
Also, please be sure to keep a sweater at school for your child, as we often experience a variety of temperatures during Fall.
