Brown Bears Newsletter: May 2021

Hi Brown Bear families,

May is just around the corner! We are looking forward to more sunshine, some rain showers, and flowers, fruit, vegetables that might pop out in our garden. During the month of April we had lots of discussions, we came up with questions, found answers to our questions, watched videos, made a chart, and learned so many things about insects and expanded our knowledge on what we already knew.

During the month of May we will be starting our new unit of study called, “Tubes and Tunnels.” We will be exploring with manipulatives, using observations, asking questions, and interacting with one another during our investigations with this unit.

This month we will be learning about the letters Tt and Ee, along with learning the sounds they make and words that begin with the letter/sound.

Reminder:  May 14th is our Parent/Teacher Conference day, so at the entrance Brown Bears have a sign in sheet please make sure you pick a time that works best for you, along with your name write whether you would like a video call, face to face, or phone call meet. Thank you and can’t wait to meet/talk with all of you!

Other reminders: There are nut allergies in the building so please be careful with snacks that your child is bringing to school. In the backpacks, hoping there is no more heavy snow, are the children’s snow gear to take home. Please have some extra change of clothes for your child in their backpacks and a sweater just in case the day is chilly. Please feel free to have your child bring in lotion with their name on it that we can keep here to keep their hands moisturized with this dry weather.

If you have any questions or need anything please message me through Procare.

Thank you,

Miss Romina
